I'm just back from a week in Kerala, an area known to all my Keralite friends as 'God's Own Country'. And with reason. It was a wonderful trip to a part of India I hadn't explored before. So with over a thousand photos to process and only a day in Dubai to change bags before I head off to Kyrgyzstan tomorrow, here's one of my favourite photos from the trip.
We walked through the forests of the Western Ghats for a couple of days watching birds, butterflies and dragonflies in the damp, dark woodland. This tiny mushroom no bigger than a daisy was pushing itself up through the leaf litter looking for a ray of sun.
