The Qasr Al Hosn cultural festival is held every year in Abu Dhabi and is growing as the restoration of the fort where it is held continues.
Among the displays of Emirati tradition is Ayala dancing (often known as the 'stick dance'). Men slowly shuffle and wave walking sticks to a droning, rhythmic beat. Usually performed by two facing lines it evidently cements tribal relationships.
